Cross-Disciplinary, Roles in Events.
Hey Guys!Monday the 21st of February 2022
What was it for/purpose?
'Undy Hundy' Commander Tournament - At United Video
When was it?Mid of last year.
What was your responsibility?
I was a contestment in the tournament, got 8th place (out of 25? people)
Were you able to contribute in a meaningful manner?I gave feedback to the people who were running the tournament. Feedback like, certain people were using politics in the game way too much and was consider 'cheating' to some people within the tournament. This maybe for next time, including extra rules.
If so, did you feel your contribution mattered?I felt like the tourtment itself runned super well for first time and my feedback would make next time even better.
Did you feel a sense of belonging and felt heard?Maybe, will have to wait to next 'Undy Hundy' Commander Tourament. But giving feedback to the organizers, gave them better insight into the event, as the event was huge (bigger than they expected) they weren't able to have all eyes in the event.
What could have improved that Group Dynamic?
Unsure, as this was a first time event. The event organizers are well connected to the MTG community, maybe those who experience these certain issues speak up, so certain person might have stop 'cheating'.
More for event improvement: Also, being in the top 8, I felt kinda sour that I only got a booster pack. So probably better/wider range of prizes.
