Cross-Disciplinary Weekly Diary 2: Week 9 - Week 14, with Self Performance report in the end.
Hey Guys!
Class Outline Plan:
This is blog post is a notes on what I contribute to the group:
Week 9:
Was waiting for exhibition and Event Co to give me instructions, didn't. Went for walk to Express newspaper, but not much help on the story for newspaper. Basically got told that they'll forward to reporters and if they want to do it/if worthy of paper, then possibly.
Thursday I assist with Legal team with Terms and Conditions layout.
Did get a call from my mother which she does side-unpaid-jobs for the newspaper, and she recommended that she could do it, but I don't think it ethical for me to propose to marketing team.
Week 10:
QR code for Exhibitions, what forms required to fill to produce them.
How to make mass QR codes for going to google form, for an example.
How to single vote in Google Form or Microsoft Forms?
Similar to google forms.
I have suggested to Jess that Google forms would be better as most people would have google account to vote.
Would have One QR code for each section of artworks, person have one response. Will have the number of artwork beside the piece with title and creator name.
Used this website for trial.

This one below, requires payment to download QR codes

Made custom made a QR code design, it seems like the phone was having issues picking up. So it'll be better probably simpler QR code and one thing different to signify the different category.
Thursday:
I sent an email to Courtney and Jerome for putting my foot forward on working on the QR posters, for the public to vote on their favourite artworks. For the time being I am researching into design layout to how to clearly present these posters and yet be interesting to look at.

It's simple and effective poster for show clearer the QR codes and fits with the design of Facebook.

Boring, the blue is also hard to distinguish the QR code for the phones to pick up.

I like this design but it is a bit complicated and could easily blend in with the artworks the are shown. Will need text for the audience to know what this QR code is for.

I like some of these design layouts, but some are overly complicated and not easy to understand what this for. I like the red poster on bottom row.https://www.qrcode-monkey.com/#
This QR code generator is downloadable QR codes but has a chance to purchase a membership. It is free for basic generations
Email Morgan and Courtney for different categories the public is voting.
The current categories are traditional art, digital art, games, film, animation.
Emailed Jerome for Branding style. What Jerome sent me:
Week 11:
I helped proof read legal team submission form.
More design information, I used from the submissions form:

Complete the poster designs and sent to people for feedback.
Note: fixed the typo on posters.
Week 12:
Lost track of weeks, unsure which week I skipped?
Week 13:
Designed these from Legal for voting forms, as banners.
Week 14:
Suggested designing themed artist statements for the artworks. It is to be confirmed for the Showcase to either use them or I have to resize/fit them (which I'm okay with).
Made official Voting posters to size, just for imputing QR codes for voting then to be printed.
I also put my name up for making certificates for later to be designed.
Self Performance:
Communication (clear, attitude, supportive, adaptability)
Rate: 4 (Proficient)
I believe I have clearly communicated in talking with team members and tried to keep up with online communication as well. Been adaptable in work that I suggested to groups and also to them giving feedback and ideas.
I believe I have been positive attitude talking to team members and to public (other students to put works into exhibition and show case), but I am bit worried about a few teams/areas of the event. Feeling unsure how to communicate with other about these thoughts/feelings.
Responsibility (contribution, work ethic, reliability, participation)
Rate: 4 (Proficient)
With the lack of leadership direction given to me, I asked around the teams if they need assistance. I ended up helping Legal team, then becoming somewhat Legal's Design member. With that experience I found jobs that were somewhat important, but as the leaders have been busy focusing on the bigger picture, not noticing the smaller jobs that could be done now.
I feel like my work ethic has been reasonable, but to other's words it seem that I might be biting to much to chew. But as I've been completing my work very well (I believe) and efficiently, I believe its been healthy.
I feel like I've been reliable to this event as I have planned and fully designed items that others can easily fill out or follow to complete. These people that have either, like no extra time or don't want to put in the work. (Apologies if that sound harsh not meant to).
